CASA of Del Norte Board of Directors Announces New Members

CASA of Del Norte is pleased to announce the expansion of the Board of Directors.

Newest members include Robert Black, Esq., Attorney at Law, Ben Cameron, Manager of Coast Central Credit Union, David Finigan, County Board of Supervisors and Real Estate Broker, and Lynn Holmes, R.N. Each of the new members bring unique skills and interests but, importantly, they each bring not only an interest in the children of our county but also a commitment to the mission of CASA of Del Norte.

At the recent Annual Board of Director's Retreat, it was decided that we would make the commitment to serve all the children in foster care in Del Norte County. While the board is still working out a plan or Blue Print which will ensure that this goal is met.

California has 1/5 of all the children in foster care in the nation - this alone makes it urgent that we all consider how to make a commitment to our children. David Star in The Philosophy of Danger "Wisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it."

We strive toward virute by planning realistic goals and keeping the larger purpose in mind.
